This workshop is ideal for intermediate and advanced photographers who are passionate about wildlife and landscape photography. You'll need a DSLR or mirrorless camera, a zoom lens, and a tripod.

Day 1-May 28, 2026:

Day 3-April 27, 2027:
6am-11am: Sunrise photography in Canyonlands. Petroglyphs/pictographs and native american ruins(ruin requires hiking and we will plan this in advance)
11am-3pm: Break/Lunch/Nap. Download your photos from morning, recharge batteries, etc.
3pm-4pm: Photo editing and critique--or head back out for afternoon photography session depending on class desire.
4pm-8pm: Sunset photography in Arches.

Fall is the perfect time to capture the stunning beauty of Yellowstone National Park. With vibrant foliage, active wildlife, and crisp, clear skies, the photographic opportunities are endless.

Witness the majestic elk in rut, their haunting bugles echoing through the park. Photograph elusive Great Gray Owls and powerful grizzly bears as they forage for food. Capture massive bison herds and graceful pronghorn roaming the plains. We will alson explore and photography the park's geothermal wonders, including the iconic Old Faithful geyser and other vibrant hot springs and geysers. We will be searching for the elusive wolves that roam the park's wilderness and consider it is a bonus if we actually get close enough to them for photos!

Join us on a 3-day photography workshop and learn intermediate through advanced techniques. We'll explore every corner of the park, seeking out the best photo opportunities.

12pm-7pm: Wildlife and sunset photography. Hotel in West Yellowstone, MT.

Day 3-October 1, 2026:
6:45am-11am: Sunrise and morning photography. Landscape, wildlife, geothermal features.
11am-12pm: Break/Lunch.  We will spend the entire day in Yellowstone National Park with a break at a lodge/restaurant or picnic lunch.
12pm-2pm: Classroom/Computer Editing/or continue shooting--group decision.
2pm-7pm: Action, wildlife, water, scenic, sunset photography. Hotel in West Yellowstone, MT.

Day 4-October 2, 2026:

6:45am-11am: Sunrise and morning photography. Landscape, wildlife, geothermal features.

Moose have come together this time of year and it is common to see 10+ moose in a day. In addition to moose, we will photograph the beautiful winter landscape surrounding Jackson Hole. Technical skills and photographic composition are of utmost importance to your photograph quality, so we will cover the typical skills and lessons taught in all of Cody's other workshops. The winter days are short, so we will be out in the field photographing as much as possible! Sunrise this time of year is around 7:30am and sunset is before 5pm. (Wildlife is wild, so unfortunately I can't 100% guarantee moose).
